Police officers in Daadab have recovered an AK-47 gun, after a tip off from members of the public.
In a report, the police say two magazines and 40 rounds of ammunition were also recovered.
“A multi -agency security team acted on information provided by members of the public, and successfully recovered one AK-47 rifle, two magazines, forty two rounds of ammunition, and porches at Ifo Area in Daadab Sub-County, Garissa County.”
During the operation, two persons suspected to have been involved in incidences of robbery with violence, were arrested.
The two suspects were placed in custody pending processing and arraignment.
In Tiaty, police recovered a serviceable M-16 Rifle.
The illegal firearm which is suspected to have been used in banditry activities along Akwichatis -Tangulbei Road.
