BY FAITH MUTETE – Ugandan sensational singer Joseph Mayanja aka chameleon is now free to perform his music in Uganda after a push and pull between him and the Ugandan police.

This comes after the ‘Tubonge’ hitmaker joined the Democratic Party and declared his interest to contest for the Kampala Lord Mayoral city set for 2021.

According to sources, President Yoweri Museveni’s regime was concerned Chameleone would use the music shows to propel his political interests.

The police have later on come to an understanding with him, stating that they are now okay with him performing in the country since his team clarified issues concerning the nature and statistics of the shows he would have.

Besides Chameleone, police in the country have also cancelled a number of music shows planned by Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine. Bobi Wine has for the longest time opposed and criticized Ugandan President Museveni.
