Ugandan MP Goes Missing After Uber Ride In Nairobi

Police in Nairobi are looking into an incident in which a Ugandan Member of Parliament went missing in the city.

David Wakikona, the Member of Parliament of Bukigai District in Uganda has been reported missing after a trip to Nairobi Central Business District (CBD).

He was reported missing after he boarded an Uber taxi from the Kilimani area to Tom Mboya Street in Nairobi CBD on Sunday morning.

Two of his colleagues, Mr. Talibet Kibet and Mr. Emmanuel Opio, reported his disappearance at Kilimani Police Station.

“Mr. Wakikona had checked in at Samura Court along Argwings Kodhek road on October 3, 2022, together with his colleagues and his whereabouts remain unknown,” a police report filed at Kilimani Police Station reads in part.

He left behind his colleagues Mr. Abdi Kisos, Mr. John Ngoya, Mr. Paul Busiro, and Mr. Opio Emmanuel, the Clerk of the Ugandan National Assembly, when he boarded the motor vehicle from Kilimani in Dagoretti North Sub County.

According to police, the politician was picked up by a vehicle driven by Mr. Robert Wang’ombe.
