Uhuru To ‘Join’ Azimio Tour With Raila

During the election campaign, President Uhuru Kenyatta has advocated for a peaceful and united Kenya, claiming that this was the spirit of his handshake with opposition leader Raila Odinga.

On Wednesday, President Kenyatta told locals of Mbita in Homa Bay County that he would soon take Baba to Kisumu, implying that he would campaign for him.

“I’ll be back here shortly with Baba, and even while we deal with those other matters, we need Kenya to move on as one,” he said, “because that was the spirit of the handshake.”

“I want us to move forward together and in peace, especially during this election year,” he told a jubilant gathering on the side of the road in Mbita village.

Deputy President William Ruto is propagating a campaign labelling Raila Odinga a ‘puppet Presidential candidate’.

He also accused the so-called power brokers, of using state machinery to spread fear and intimidation in his UDA camp.

Nearly all of his allies have been mentioned in crime and graft allegations, with ‘war monger’ Linturi being the latest victim after his ‘madoadoa’ remark.
