Undercover Officers Gun Down Suspected Terrorist In Mwingi 

Undercover officers have shot and killed a suspected terrorist at Nguni, Mwingi sub-county last night.

According to a police report seen by Uzalendo News, the suspect had confronted a driver who was driving to a water point. 

On spotting the lone gunman at Mathiakani bridge, the driver changed course and fled the scene as the terror suspect fired at his water bowser. 

While fleeing, the driver met the undercover officers and warned them of the danger ahead. 

The duo, that included a Military Police officer(name withheld) were confronted by the heavily armed terrorists at a bend near Nguni.

Nguni is near the home of Monica Juma, a former Defense CS and the current Security advisor to President William Ruto.  

Police recovered an AK 47 rifle, and 23 rounds of ammunition. Also recovered was a sufuria, money in Kenyan and Somalian currency, two mobile phones foodstuffs and a dagger. 

DCI officers based in Mwingi have taken over the investigations. Anti-Terror police will also be involved.

The body of the deceased taken to Mwingi Level 4 Hospital mortuary. The vehicles pelted with bullets have been taken to Mwingi East Police station.
