Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been left out of the squad for his team’s Premier League opener against Manchester City.
Kane has been heavily linked with a move to City, whose manager Pep Guardiola has previously expressed interest in signing the England captain, who is 28 years old.
Kane has made it clear that he wants to leave the club he joined as a child, and he practiced with the Spurs squad for the first time since returning from holiday on Friday.
He arrived late from his vacation and was subjected to a five-day quarantine.
Last month, the striker was a member of Gareth Southgate’s England squad that advanced to the Euro 2020 final.
