Over the recent times, there has been a growing concern on the amount of airplay Kenyan music receives as opposed to international music. Various campaigns have been launched to try and prompt the music industry to focus on promoting locally bred talent in order to grow the potentially lucrative entertainment industry. Such campaigns including the #IndustryNite have led to the discovery of untapped talent and overall improvement of the music industry.
As part of the initiative to help build talent in the Kenyan Music scene, Unveil, by Uzalendo news, is a platform that will be used to spot
on upcoming artists in various categories in the entertainment
industry.
It will highlight and encourage upcoming artists in the industry as well
as keep the public in the wind about what’s new and what’s hot.
This project will be Uzalendo news’ contribution to the #playmusicke
campaign.
