Uproar As Jalang’o Issues New Directive Affecting All Events Held In Lang’ata

Lang’ata Member of Parliament (MP) Phelix Odiwuor, also known as Jalang’o, announced a new directive that will apply to all events held in his constituency.

The newly elected MP announced that his constituency must provide 50% of the labour for all activities held in Lang’ata.

Jalas claims that any event planner who disobeys this new instruction must find a venue outside Lang’ata.

The MP’s announcement will impact Carnivore Grounds, Uhuru Gardens, and Nyayo Stadium, among other locations.

“New Directive: Events hosted at Langata venues that do not allow our young people an opportunity to work there will not take place! Any location in Langata, including Carnivore, Uhuru Gardens, Nyayo Stadium, and others! Youths from Langata must hold 50% of the jobs,” Jalas proclaimed.

The new rules, however, have drawn varied reactions from Netizens, with some claiming that he overstepped his bounds as an MP.

Others questioned the new directive’s purpose and if it had been discussed with the appropriate authorities before being made public.

Another segment pointed out that because most events call for qualified staff, requiring more than 50% of the jobs necessary for them may be challenging.
