US Offers Ksh 1 Billion Bounty On 3 Al-Shabab Leaders

    The United States government has offered a $10 million (KES 1 billion) reward for the capture of three al-Shabaab leaders.

    The US Department of State Diplomatic Security Service Rewards for Justice announced in a public notice that anyone with information about the three terrorists will be generously rewarded.

    In addition to monetary rewards, informants may be relocated if necessary.

    Mahad Karate, also known as Abdirahman Mohamed Warsame, Jehad Serwan Mostafa alias Ahmed Gurey, and Ahmed Diriye are the three wanted men.

    “These key leaders of al-Shabaab are responsible for numerous terrorist attacks in Somalia, Kenya, and neighbouring countries that have killed thousands of people,” the US government poster read.

    “If you have information about al Shabaab’s illicit financial activities, submit a tip via Signal, Telegram, or WhatsApp to one of the numbers Kenya: + 254-71-87-12-366 and Somalia: +252-68-43-43-308. You could be eligible for a reward.”
