According to the Ministry of Health, the government will receive 880,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine from the US government on Monday.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe and US Ambassador to Kenya Eric W. Kneedler will meet the shipment when it arrives at JKIA at 6.15 a.m.
This is part of a shipment of 1.7 million Moderna vaccine doses set to arrive in the country next week.
Kenya received another 180,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from the Greek government earlier this month, bringing the total number of vaccinations received in Kenya to 2,323,100.
Kenya expects to have immunized its whole adult population of at least 10 million people by the end of the year.
A total of 2,374,197 immunizations have been given out so far.

According to Ministry of Health data, the total number of first doses is 1,595,335 and the total number of second doses is 778,862.
Kenya received 407,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from the United Kingdom last Tuesday.
The vaccines, which were given by the UK government, are expected to help increase the ongoing COVID-19 immunization program, which has seen 2,101,403 people receive at least one dose.
