A police officer who promised to help a student who carried a placard in town asking well-wishers to fund her education pays her school fees for one year.

Vanpagal Mohamed Ahmed confirmed in a Facebook post that he was able to raise Evalyne Wairimu’s one-year school fees and some cash for her personal use with the help of his friends.

“As I promised today I went to see Evalyne Wairimu who carried a placard on which she appealed to well-wishers to fund her education. Together with my friends, we were able to pay for her 1 year school fees to the School Account and also handed cash for her personal use and the mother to buy food,” stated Vanpagal.

Evalyne Wairimu boarded a matatu from Kajiado to Nairobi’s CBD to beg for fees, as her mom could only raise Ksh 1000 out of 9,440 first term fees.

She carried a placard on which she appealed to well-wishers to fund her education.

Vanpagal was moved when he saw this story on social media and asked some of his colleagues to step up and help her.

Furthermore, the officer stated that the mother and the girl were extremely happy and blessed them all.
