Gladys Adisa Erude, a former Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) radio presenter and seasoned radio broadcaster, has died.
The vivacious broadcaster on Idhaa ya Taifa, now known as Radio Taifa, died Thursday morning after a long fight with cancer and a heart issue, according to her son Victor.
She worked for almost three decades with the Voice of Kenya (VOK), which is now the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation, before retiring in 2001.
She has traveled extensively throughout her career, including spells in the Netherlands, Germany, China, Mauritius, and a number of other nations.
Gladys has been dividing her time between her farm in Nandi, Kenya, and her daughters and grandkids in the United States since she retired.
