Vocal Speaker Beatrice Elachi back in office — ODM warns Oscar Sudi

Embattled speaker Beatrice Elachi today made her way into Nairobi County assembly, where she was forcefully ousted in 2018.

Accompanied by her ODM counterparts including Homa Bay county Women Representative Gladys Wanga, Elachi vowed to stay put until those that want to sack her follow the law.

Gladys Wanga told off Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi who had earlier turned to hurl insults at the Nairobi county speaker.

”As women we have taken in many insults. We cannot be getting into arguments with a Class 2 pupil, Like Sudi. We will not sit back and watch a woman get insulted. The women of Kenya are coming for you…. because we, like you, were also elected by the people of this country” Said Hon. Gladys Wanga.

Oscar Sudi, who has been on the front line in attacking the embattled Elachi, and Gender CAS, Rachel Shebesh, argued that it was for the good of the country for them to stay away from their offices.

“I want to tell His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta to kindly help us. Shebesh should not work with any government. For Elachi, both Kenyans and MCA’s do not want her in the government. These are people who are defaming the government,” he remarked.

Beatrice Elachi has been a tough critic against the running of the county government. She alleged that the county government was being run in a haphazard manner, and vowed to clamp the ‘rogue MCAs’.
