M-Pesa Logo changes to ‘E-liud 159’ ahead of Kipchoge Marathon challenge

Safaricom’s mobile money platform, M-Pesa, has changed its logo to E-Liud 159, in a bid to pledge its support and loyalty to the undisputed Marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge.

Acting Safaricom CEO appreciated the athlete for his committment to disrupt the norm.

“It’s great honour for Safaricom to be associated with this great man Eliud Kipchoge. It is an immense honour and privilege to have the opportunity to dedicate our iconic M-PESA brand in honour of a befitting icon.”

Eliud Kipchoge arrived in Vienna, Austria, and was treated to a heroic welcome by world’s best athletes, locals and Kenyans residing in the European state.

He will be attempting to run a marathon under 2 hours, a task which has never been achieved since the sport’s inception.

Many are looking up to Kipchoge, who currently holds the record for the fastest Marathoner in the world, in his effort to emphasize his phrase that ‘No man is limited’.
