President Uhuru Kenyatta’s longtime ally revealed that the ODM party leader Raila Odinga will face it rough to outshine DP Ruto.
This is according to Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru who reckoned that the current political wave has acted to the advantage of Hustler Nation, overwhelmingly gaining popularity, especially in the Mt Kenya region.
Speaking on KTN News on Tuesday 10th August 2021, Kirinyaga Governor reserved her comment on the just concluded Mombasa roundtable meeting (Uhuru, Raila, Kalonzo, Mudavadi, Wetangula, Gideon Moi, and Oparanya) as she hinted that Kenyans shouldn’t expect much.
“2022 General Election will be messy, heartbreaking, and disappointing to those who hoped to be saved by BBI. This is because their competitors (DP Ruto) have already started to make inroads as they are waiting for the Court of appeal to rule in their favor. Again, I don’t want to say anything about what happened after today’s (Tuesday) meeting in Mombasa, because it is sad (Raila declining to shake hands with Kalonzo and Mudavadi) and Kenyans are watching them” Waiguru said.
Nonetheless, as they say, politics is a game of interest, we can’t judge until the right time comes (2022) that is when we shall see their true political colours.
