Chama Cha Uzalendo Party Leader Nzioka Waita has accused outgoing Governor Alfred Mutua of gross negligence after a fire guttered Grogan area.
Waita said property worth millions destroyed by fire would have been salvaged if fire engines were on standby.
He said once elected Governor, he will team with County Government of Nairobi as part of a larger metropolis to deal with fire emergencies.
“Mutua has exposed our people. We are glad he is out”, Waita said.
Locals at the scene of the fire decried the sluggish response by the county despite alleged developments, cost them their businesses.
