Complaint opposing Wavinya Ndeti’s candidature for Machakos Governorship has been dismissed by IEBC.
The IEBC agency said that it lacks the Legal Jurisdiction to hear and determine the petition.
Ngewa Kenya and Kisilu Mutisya had petitioned IEBC for nominating Wavinya to vie for Machakos County Governor.
The ground for their petition was that Wavinya does not have the requisite academic requirement.
Wavinya Ndeti in her celebration welcomed the decision delivered today by a three Member bench sitting at Milimani Law courts.
“Baba yangu hakuuza Ng’ombe apeleke Ng’ombe shule, I am more learned than most of my opponents, yaliyo ndwele sipite.”
Wavinya said outside the court in a press briefing.
Further, Wavinya indicated her intentions to sue the petitioners in the High court for compensation of costs.
On the other hand, the petitioners too requested copies of the ruling as they said that they were dissatisfied with the ruling.
