Luo Nyanza political leaders have been urged to join President William Ruto on his four-day development tour of the region next week.

The President will visit four counties in Nyanza beginning next Friday, and ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo has invited political leaders to join him on the tour.

Owalo revealed that the President will launch projects in the road development, blue economy, and information and communication technology sectors across the four counties during his tour.

County government officials from across the four counties are also expected to join the president on the tour in the spirit of effective coordination and interdependence between the two levels of government, according to Owalo.

“This will be a development tour, and we are appealing to all other stakeholders, including the political class, to join the president.” “We are urging all governments and politicians to join the President,” he said.

He made the remarks at a meeting at his rural Rarieda home, where Principal Secretary for Interior Raymond Omolo revealed that the President will visit Rarieda, Bondo, Ugenya, and Gem constituencies in Siaya County to commission various development projects.

The PS has also pleaded with the people of Nyanza to welcome the President warmly because he will be on a development tour.
