The High Court’s decision in the Willy Kimani murder case has been made public.
On Friday, Justice Jessie Lessit issued the judgment in which he found three police officers and their informant guilty.
Lawyer Willy Kimani was killed by police officers Fredrick Leliman, Stephen Cheburet, Sylvia Wanjiku, and police informant Peter Ngugi.
On each of the three murder charges, Officer Leonard Mwangi was found not guilty.
It’s been six years since the murder trial for attorney Kimani, his client Josephat Mwenda, and taxi driver Joseph Muiruri.
The verdict was rendered six years after the brutal killing of the rights attorney.
In her communication to the parties this week, Justice Jessie Lessit, who wrapped up the case earlier this year and set the judgment’s deadline to 60 days, set the date for July 22.
