The NASA partnership is poised to come to an end on Monday when the Wiper Party withdraws due to mistrust and bullying by Raila Odinga’s ODM.
Wambua told the media on Saturday that it was past time for Wiper and ODM to separate political tracks because ODM had proven to be a deceptive party that could no longer be trusted by other NASA affiliate parties.
Mr. Wambua further pointed out that all other affiliate parties, namely Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC and Moses Wetangula’s Ford Kenya, had also left NASA.
He also stated that the Wiper Party’s top organ, the National Executive Committee, will convene on Monday to approve the party’s exit from the NASA coalition.
The NEC will also discuss strengthening the formation of a powerful coalition with other like-minded leaders under the One Kenya Alliance.
Pundits have pointed at a Jubilee-ODM-KANU coalition that will take on the UDA Party that is led by Deputy President William Ruto.
However, a massive walkout from Jubilee could jeopardize Raila’s options in securing the vote-rich Mount Kenya region.
