Woman Charged with over Ksh 800K Job Fraud

A woman in Court facing accusations of fraudulently obtaining money by pretending she was in a position to secure employment opportunities abroad.

Emily Nditi Mule was today arraigned before a Nairobi Court facing multiple charges of obtaining money from unsuspecting Kenyans seeking employment opportunities abroad.

In the first count she was charged that on diverse dates between October 11, 2023, and February 19, 2024, obtained Ksh 853,120 from Dorothy Naitore by falsely pretending she was in a position to secure employment opportunities abroad for her clients a fact she knew to be false.

In the second count she was accused of obtaining Ksh 200,000 from another unsuspecting citizen called Patrick Kimeu by falsely pretending she would secure his job employment opportunity abroad.

Appearing before Magistrate Gilbert Shikwe at Milimani Law Courts, the accused denied the charges and was released on Ksh 300,000 bond with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 100,000, the case will proceed on July 22, 2024.
