Woman Flees After Allegedly Burning Co-Wives’ Children To Death

A woman is wanted by police in Kacheliba, West Pokot County for reportedly setting three of her co-wives’ children on fire at the Losam area of Cheptokol village.

The suspect was allegedly sent home from a crusade on Sunday night to take care of the kids after her husband’s other wife asked her to do so.

According to reports, the suspect, the fourth wife, had the three youngsters locked inside the home before setting it on fire.

Residents claim that the fourth wife did not appreciate the fact that her husband preferred to spend time with the second and third wives over her and the first wife.

Police in Uganda’s neighboring Pokot North Sub County are chasing the culprits, according to commandant Victor Nzaka.

He said that just the first and last woman was lodging together, with the other two staying apart

The ages of the deceased youngsters were 12, 11, and 9.

Their bodies are at the reference morgue for Kapenguria County while an autopsy is performed.
