Millicent Kithinji to remain in custody for 7 more days as police complete investigations into the 44 teenagers party –by Enock Mukoma
The owner of the apartment in whose house 44 teenagers were arrested partying have been arraigned in court.
Millicent Muthoni Kithinnji was arraigned alongside three others including, David Kibe Wambili,Geirge Kamai Muthoni and Michael Morega.
The prosecution sorts the four be detained for 7 days as they complete their investigations.
Once done the four according to investigating officer Julius Oguna will face charges related to Child trafficking, causing children to be exposed to sexual abuse and child exploitation including prostitution and pornography.
The 26 boys and 18 girls primary and Secondary school children were apprehended during the raid by police officers in mountain view estate
Further according to DCIO Dagoreti the children were from Nairobi, Kiambu and Machakos counties
At the scene various brands of alcohol and bhang and used condoms were seized.
The children were handed over to the children department officers and were due for processing, as their parents were called in.
Kithinji aged 41, pleaded with the court to be granted bail as she was on medication.
However, principal magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot granted IO requests to detain the suspects for seven days.
Cheruiyot allowed police to detain all suspects for seven days.
He also directed police to escort Kithinji back to the house which is a crime scene to pick her medicine.
The case comes at the backdrop of other child trafficking cases targeting teenagers with most recent being the the carty gang case.
