Woman Stabbed To Death After Quarrel With Neighbour Over Tap Queue

A woman was stabbed to death in Mumias after a disagreement with a neighbour while queuing to get water from a tap in the Camcon settlement.

Ms Brenda Alele, 37, was said to have fought with her neighbour over who was supposed to fetch the water first.

According to Mumias West sub-county police commander Stephen Muoni, the 27-year-old suspect, who is now in custody, rushed to her house before emerging with a kitchen knife and stabbing the victim twice in the neck and back.

“The victim was rushed to Mumias Level Four Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. The suspect will be charged with murder,” said Mr Muoni.
