Women accused of drugging, stealing Sh.1.1Million

A 30-year-old woman was Tuesday morning arraigned with stupefying and stealing Sh.1.1Million from her sex victim.


Virginia Wangui Thiga is accused of ‘charming Bernard Cheruiyot Chirchir on May 29, 2021 before robbing him.


According to the police report, the two were drinking together and later booked a room at Rytas Guest House in Umoja Estate.

The prosecution says that the accused administered salicylates poisoning (APYCY) to Mr. Chirchir then robbed him.


According to investigators, ChirChir lost his mobile phone. “On diverse dates between May 29 and 31 2021, at Rytas Guest House Umoja Estate, jointly with others not before the court you stole one Huawei mobile phone, ATM card, National ID card, and a some of Ksh1.1Million cash,” read part of the charge sheet.

She however denied the charges before Milimani Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi.
The investigating officer requested more days to conclude investigations. Her bail application will be heard on 10th November 2021.
