Worshippers Stunned After Robbers Break Into Church, Steal Property

Worshippers at PCEA Tayari church in Molo awoke to shocking news on Tuesday morning when thieves broke into the church and stole items of unknown value.

According to church officials, they received distressing calls from neighbours after the Church Security officer was discovered tied up in ropes at the church compound.

The robbers are believed to have entered the church through the window, with officials claiming they were after the offertory money collected on Sunday during the Women’s Guild event. Unfortunately, the funds had already been transferred to the church’s account.

Other items stolen include a piano, church amplifier system, pulpit covers, and hymn books, among others.

Church members have condemned the insecurity act and urged Molo police to conduct regular day and night patrols to combat the rising number of insecurity cases.

Officers from Molo’s Directorate of Criminal Investigation arrived at the crime scene to begin the investigation.
