Governor Joho, President Kiir hold trade talks

South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit, Friday received and held a meeting with the Governor of Mombasa County Ali Hassan Joho and his delegation.

The President and his guests discussed wide range of investment opportunities in South Sudan to the Business Community of Mombasa and Kenya, as well as the ways to strengthen the bilateral relations between South Sudan and Kenya.

In attendance were, the Minister of Finance and Planning Hon Athian Diing Athian, Governor of the Bank of South Sudan Hon Dier Tong Ngor, Deputy Commissioner General of National Revenue Authority Hon Africano Mande, Executive Director in the Office of the President Hon James Deng Wal and the Chairman of the South Sudan Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture Dr Benjamin Bol Mel.

The Kenyan delegation expressed the desire to work with South Sudan Government to address the challenges faced by the business communities of the two countries.

The delegation vowed to create more jobs and businesses for the people of South Sudan and Kenya.
