KeNHA To Begin Works On Stalled Taita Taveta Road

The Kenya Highways Authority (KeNHA) is scheduled to restart work on the US $18 million Taita Taveta road project, which has been halted since 2017.

The completion of the vital route, according to Wundanyi MP Danson Mwashako, has a long history because the region has been underserved in terms of infrastructure for many years.

The road project was supposed to start four years ago. The Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) stated in May 2019 that this road would be built as part of the road pension plan.

KeNHA stated that the government had already signed a project agreement, allowing the Treasury to budget. However, due to budgetary restrictions, the project was forced to halt.
