Maguire Marries Childhood ‘Bestfriend’

England footballer Harry Maguire married his childhood sweetheart Fern Hawkins in the south of France on Friday.

The Manchester United center-back posted an Instagram photo from the wedding, in which he is seen kissing his wife at the lavish ceremony at Chateau de Varennes.

The image was captioned “a day I’ll never forget” by the 29-year-old.

Maguire and Hawkins, both 27, had their wedding party of 30 guests flown to France by private jet on Thursday, according to The Sun.

Megan Davison, the wife of England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, is said to have been a bridesmaid at the event, while Maguire’s sister Daisy served as maid of honor.

The wedding on Friday comes after an initial ceremony in a Crewe registry office last month to obtain a UK marriage certificate.

The couple married in 2018 in Paris and has two daughters, Lillie Saint and Piper Rose.

It comes after police raided Maguire’s family home in April after he received a bomb threat.

In response to the scare, Maguire stated at the time, “Obviously, I’m going to be chastised. Manchester United paid a large sum of money for me; it is both one of the most loved and one of the most despised clubs in the world.”
