Rowdy GSU Graduates To Be Punished

The National Police Service (NPS) is currently taking “necessary measures” against freshly graduated General Service Unit (GSU) officers who were shown in a now-viral video.

In the video, the fresh officers bragged of their status as GSU Officers, making gun references which many thought was horrifying.

This came after the GSU’s 48th passing-out parade, which took place at the National Police College Embakasi B Campus in Nairobi County, and saw 2,502 new officers join the force.

The National Police Service (NPS) denounced the officers’ behaviour in a statement posted Wednesday evening, saying they did not reflect the police service they were entering.

The police department expressed remorse for the event and stated that an internal investigation is already underway.

"As a result, the words mentioned in the video are reprehensible and must be denounced." "An internal review is underway with the goal of determining the most suitable response to the situation," NPS concluded.
