12 Students Detained For Torching Mukaa Boys Dormitory

Police in Makueni County are detaining 12 Mukaa Boys High School pupils in connection with alleged arson after a fire destroyed the institution’s dormitories.

When the dormitory burned down on Saturday night, it damaged property worth hundreds of thousands of shillings.

The fire is said to have started at 6 p.m. on, destroying the possessions of 100 students who live in the dormitory, including beds and books.

No injuries were reported in the ordeal. Students and surrounding people worked together to extinguish the fires before firemen from Machakos County arrived.
