- Plan ahead
Mombasa never lasts forever. You need to remember that you still have bills to pay and therefore you need to ensure that that you plan your money well .keep in mind that your financial spending habits during the holidays will determine whether you’ll go broke.
- Avoid applying for unnecessary loans
They always have very good deals and tempting ones but avoid at all cost. Taking loans even during the holidays, mostly the short term loans come with a higher interests when it’s time to pay. And also avoid loan apps on your phone because you will always want to see what they offer.

- Don’t live beyond your means.
Most people like to spend money that they don’t have, and most of us fall victim of such behaviors. Don’t try keeping a lifestyle that you can barely afford. Don’t go borrowing money to spend on things that don’t even benefit you. Come January you will be better off since you have no loans to pay.
- Save!!! Save!!! Save!!!
Don’t underestimate the power of saving especially this year it has taught many people the essence of having savings or extra cash even if it is 50 shillings it goes a long way the amount will grow day by day.

- Stick to your resolution
We all make resolutions at the beginning of each year and only few people get to do what they vowed to do. Sticking to your resolutions may help you save extra cash without you knowing it.
- Get a side hustle
If you have any skills or you sure you can do anything else on the side and still manage to do your 9-5 then take because it goes a long way and make sure you get paid and don’t take the job if you being told it’s for exposure . Because exposure won’t pay your bills.
- Avoid impulse buying
We all see something and want it and when you decide to buy one thing you end up buying everything and by the time you realize it you are broke. Try takin a break after purchase.
- Use your talent
