A Nigerian man has been charged with threatening to kill his 24-year-old Murang’a girlfriend by posting a video of her on his Whatsapp status.
According to the police report, the accused, Joseph Adekunle Odu, asked the complainant, Caroline Wanjiku Wairimu, to meet him in his Ruaka home to settle some domestic issues.
During the conversation, he allegedly accused her of having an affair with other men and threatened to kill her with a knife.
He then forced her to ejaculate while recording the ordeal and later posted it on his WhatsApp status and Instagram account.
He was alleged to have threatened to kill the woman on August 8 at Ruaka View Apartments in Kiambu.
He was also charged with assault where the prosecution argued that he assaulted the complainant on July 20 at Garissa Heights in Kileleshwa.
He was released on Sh500,000 bond with Sh 300,000 cash bail alternative.
His case will be mentioned on August 30 for pretrial.
