Apple has confirmed that all models of its upcoming iPhone 17 series will be manufactured in India, marking a historic first for the tech giant.
The move positions India as a central hub in Apple’s global production strategy, reducing its dependence on China and strengthening ties with one of the world’s fastest-growing smartphone markets.
‎Production will be spread across five factories, including major facilities operated by Foxconn and Tata Group in Tamil Nadu and near Bengaluru.Â
‎Trial runs of the iPhone 17 have already begun, with large-scale assembly expected to ramp up ahead of the official launch in September.
‎With this milestone, India is set to become one of Apple’s most important manufacturing bases.
