Musalia’s Big Day: ANC Event Kicks Off

Musalia Mudavadi, the leader of the Amani National Coalition (ANC), has promised Kenyans a political earthquake of epic proportions when his party holds its National Delegates Conference in the Bomas of Kenya.

With less than seven months until Kenya’s next general election, the ANC leader has teased his much-anticipated political declaration.

Mudavadi, the party’s flag-bearer, is set to be revealed in front of a group of 6,000 invited visitors.

With the race to succeed President Kenyatta heating up, Mudavadi, who has remained tight-lipped about his 2022 strategy, has a number of options, including teaming up with his former NASA co-principal Raila Odinga, going it alone, or joining Deputy President William Ruto in the United Democratic Alliance.

With One Kenya Alliance (OKA) also a huge factor, it’ll be interesting to watch what the Sunday declaration means for the foursome.

Gideon Moi of KANU, Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper, and Moses Wetangula of Ford Kenya have all declared their intentions to vie for the top seat, leaving much to desire on the future of the shaky alliance.
