Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate of the One Kenya Alliance, has chosen Martha Karua, the leader of the Narc Kenya party, as his running mate.
The statement was made by Raila on Monday at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
“This woman was appointed a magistrate at the age of 24, she became the youngest woman MP years later, she led a team of lawyers to assist me when I was detained, this woman is a warrior and not a quitter,” Raila said of Karua.
Party leaders from the Azimio-OKA coalition attended the occasion.
According to previous media reports, Karua was ahead of all other candidates for the former Prime Minister’s deputyship.
