Nairobi Gubernatorial Ticket for the Azimio One Kenya Alliance Coalition is in jeopardy, after an impending fallout with the Wiper Party.
Azimio decided on the Polycarp Igathe-Philip Kaloki duo to contest against a formidable UDA Candidate, Senator Johnson Sakaja.
However, tough choices would mean the Azimio camp will drop Philip Kaloki for a more loyal party.
The former Kibwezi MP has yet to point political party he will support in the capital.
He was defeated in the senatorial election in 2013 by Mutula Kilonzo Jnr, despite receiving 9,762 votes.
What Next For Jubilee
Prior to the unveiling, several politicians had cast their lots to take over from Governor Ann Kananu, including herself.
With no formidable aspirant insight, and Tim Wanyonyi falling back to defend his Westlands seat, all eyes are set for Jubilee’s Kananu, and Agnes Kagure, who were the two front runners seeking to become governors.
Others were Dennis Waweru, the Azimio secretariat chair, Alex Kemboi and Habib Kongo.
In an earlier resolution, ODM agreed to cede ground for their Jubilee partners in fielding Nairobi.
All eyes are set on the Azimio council, chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta on who the party will embrace to aid Igathe.
