Mvita MP Abdulswamad Sheriff Nassir is the most preferred candidate for the Mombasa governor seat, a poll by Trends & Insights for Africa (Tifa) has shown.
The poll, which was released on Tuesday, May 3, put the ODM party candidate Nassir ahead of the rest with 40 percent.
His closest challenger from Wiper Party Mike Sonko got 28 percent followed by UDA’s Hassan Omar with 9 percent and Dr. William Kingi with 1 percent while 22 percent are undecided.
The polls were conducted to persons with 18 years and above across the county.
