AC Milan have been crowned Italian champions for the first time since 2010-11 after defeating Sassuolo 3-0, defeating rival and defending scudetto winner Inter Milan for the 2021-22 league trophy.

Stefano Pioli’s side knew that a point would be enough to finish first, ahead of rivals Inter Milan, and a double from Olivier Giroud and one goal from Franck Kessie sealed the Scudetto in style.

Milan has been clinical since late January, going 15 unbeaten in the league ever since it lost to Spezia on January 17 and conceding just six goals in that span.

Inter Milan, Napoli and Juventus will join the Rossoneri in playing the 2022/23 champions league.

Lazio and Roma have both qualified for the Europa League. The Giallorossi join Lazio, who qualified for the second European competition with a last-second equalizer against Juventus on the final day of the championship.

Fiorentina edged Atalanta for Serie A’s final berth in Europe with a 2-0 win over Juventus on Saturday.

With goals from Alfred Duncan and Nicolas Gonzalez, Fiorentina claimed seventh place and a Europa Conference League spot.

Venezia‘s stay in Serie A has officially come to an end just a year after their unlikely promotion from Serie B.

Genoa and Cagliari have also followed Venezia into Serie B.

Lecce and Cremonese have already been promoted from Serie B to Serie A for 2022/23. The playoffs are currently ongoing.
