The Kenya Kwanza bipartisan committee, led by President William Ruto, is now open to recusing Eldas MP Aden Keynan from the talks.
The team said Keynan will be dropped if there is conflict during the discussions, which could be interpreted as a ploy to persuade the opposition to call off planned protests.
Nonetheless, the team urged their Azimio counterpart to consider removing Pkosing from the committee as well.
The Kenya Kwanza team has asked Azimio to postpone Tuesday’s protests and return to the negotiating table on Tuesday.
“…We wish to call on our friends to return to the table and engage BUT it has to be the table NOT the streets,” George Murugara, the Kenya Kwanza team’s co-chair, said.
