Aisha Jumwa Launches Upgraded GHRIS System

Cabinet Secretary, Public Service, Affirmative Action and Gender accompanied by the Principal Secretary, Mr. Amos Gathecha, Ag. Secretary/CEO Mugambi Njeru and other dignitaries, launched an upgraded Government Human Resource Information System (GHRIS).

The improved HR tool is intended to support innovation, digitization of government procedures, and capacity building in the public sector.

As the CS was speaking, she said that improving the ICT infrastructure would improve the delivery of services provided by the Huduma Kenya Programme.

“We have developed a system that is aligned with the needs of the workforce of the future including a technology driven public service,” she said.

With this action, the ministry will progress its mission to have workforce that is suitable for their jobs and in step with modern trends.

The system will also integrate Human Resource data with key information systems such as the Integrated Financial Management Reforms (IFMIS) in the National Treasury, iTax in the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) among others.
