The Amani National Congress Party movement has warned Deputy President William Ruto that if he declares his intention to run for President on a United Democratic Alliance Party ticket, he will face six months of humiliation.
According to Ayub Savula, the Secretary-General of the Amani National Congress Party, DP Ruto should expect to be humiliated if he joins the United Democratic Alliance.
The worst aspect, according to the Amani National Congress Secretary, is that if DP Ruto joins the United Democratic Alliance Party, it will be the end of him, and they will not let him to go against the political parties act.
The Lugari MP has stated that if the DP switches to the United Democratic Alliance six months before the election, they will take him to court and demand that he resign from the Jubilee administration.
“We will take him to court to force him out and he will have to resign as DP,” Mr. Savula said, as quoted by the Nation. “He is a member of Jubilee and once he crosses to UDA—six months to elections as required by law—we will take him to court to force him out and he will have to resign as DP,” Mr. Savula said.
The Mudavadi team has stated that DP Ruto will not be included in the next government, stating that “Ruto must prepare to become the official opposition leader after next year’s election.”
