The faithful gathered joyfully at Our Lady Consolata Cathedral to celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, a profound feast honoring the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

The celebration was presided over by Archbishop Anthony Muheria, who delivered a powerful reflection on Christ’s words: This is my Body… this is my Blood.” He reminded the congregation that the Eucharist is not a symbol, but the true presence of Christ dwelling among His people, offering Himself continually in love.

Drawing from the hymn Lauda Sion, the Archbishop invited the faithful to deepen their belief and boldly proclaim Christ as Lord, King, and Savior. He emphasized that the Corpus Christi procession is more than a tradition, it is a public testimony of faith, declaring to the world that Jesus remains at the center of Christian life.

He also reminded the Church that the Eucharist is a source of strength, hope, and renewal. Through a moving testimony, he illustrated how time spent before the Blessed Sacrament can restore faith, heal brokenness, and rekindle the will to live fully in God’s grace.

The Archbishop called all believers to imitate Christ’s self-giving love through humble service to others, living lives rooted in the Eucharist.

“Without the Eucharist, we do not exist. May we always find our strength, hope, and life in Christ present in the Blessed Sacrament.” He concluded.

May this celebration renew our faith and draw us closer to Christ in the Eucharist.
