The Chairperson of the Inter-Faith Council Archbishop Anthony Muheria has urged Kenyans to embrace the Easter Message of hope amidst the challenge of Covid 19.

Muheria, who is also the Nyeri Archbishop said the triumph of the risen Christ amidst torrid evil is evidence that Kenya, and indeed the world will overcome.

“Christians must carry forward the mission of resurrection again adversity such as Covid 19, unemployment, poverty and high handedness exemplified by leaders”, Muheria said.

Muheria said evil will never triumph despite the branding it gets from agents of doom…who Jesus invites through resurrection and triumph over death to change their ways.

“Christ paid the ultimate price of death for the love of sinners….there is hope in abundance for humanity through the risen Christ”, Muheria said.

Kenyan faithful are celebrating COVID-19 without the ritual gathering in religious centers, due to the effects of the pandemic, and subsequent containment measures.

In their address to the congregations, the Inter-Faith council urged Christians, and clergymen to uphold government directives but continue praying.
