Awinja says MOH Mistreated Papa Shirandula’s family

Papa was one of the most celebrated comedian /screen actors in Kenya until his demise in July 2020. According to reports indicated that Charles Bukeko succumbed to Covid -19 and by then burial protocols had been put in place on how to go about it. – By Stephanie Mwangi.

Jacky Vicky known by her stage name (Awinja Nyamwalo) who attended the burial went on to speak of the stigmatization from the health officials   saying that mourners from Nairobi faced mistreatment from the ministry of public health during their stay at the funeral.

She said her venting was to let bygones be bygones “the ministry of health who should be knowing better on stigmatization treated us like were all confirmed cases of Covid -19. Which instilled so much fear to the villagers and relatives in general. We were on location but watched the burial on viusasa like everyone else.”

“After the burial nairobians we literally chased from the homestead .this really broke mama papa’s heart since she couldn’t understand anything that was going on it was never the same after we left. Neighbors avoided the family even buying something from the shopping Centre they had to send someone from a different family to do it for them.”

Awinja is one of the people who attributes her success to Charles Bukeko others include Jalas, captain Otoyo, Wilbroda and many others.
