Nigerian musician Ayra Starr will perform at the upcoming ‘Shoke Shoke’ Festival on March 4th at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

Starr will perform alongside Kenyan artists Khaligraph Jones, Mejja, Boutrous, The OnlyRosa, and others.

Shoke Shoke, an environmentally focused component of the Mwanaume ni Effort (MNE) brand, is an annual Green Festival aimed at youth, built on the three pillars of Education, Environment, and Entertainment.

The festival’s aim is to positively influence our audiences’ sustainable behaviour in order to drive the change we want to see.

Shoke, a derivative of the Kiswahili word “Kesho” is the first of its kind in Nairobi which runs on the theme “Flipping The Narrative For Tomorrow” and aims to drive behavioural change among its target audience to ensure that our environment remains sustainable.

“We are passionate about both entertainment and the environment. We also believe that the best way to reach Gen Z’s and millennials with the message of sustainability is through music and entertainment,” said Baraza Mwabe, Shoke Shoke Festival Director.

Tickets for the festival are currently on sale. Visit Shoke Shoke for more details.
