Bishop Ambrogio Ravasi, Emeritus of Marsabit is Dead

Bishop Ambrogio Ravasi, imc Emeritus of the Catholic Diocese of Marsabit is Dead. The 91-year-old Italian prelate died today October 30, 2020 at a Nairobi hospital.

Bishop Ravasi was born on February 7, 1929 in Bellusco, Italy. He was ordained a priest of Consolata Missionaries on February 9, 1957.

He was appointed bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Marsabit on June 19, 1981 aged 52 years, becoming the second Consolata Missionary bishop in Kenya after the late Bishop Charles Maria Cavallera.

Bishop Ravasi retired as Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Marsabit on November 25, 2006.
