Blow To Ruto as Kimilili MP Announces Break From Tanga Tanga Camp

Kimilili legislator Didmus Barasa has announced his break from national politics in what he termed as a sabbatical to consult constituents and local leaders on the way forward. – By Gerald Gekara.

Didmus said he would step aside from the tanga tanga rallies for a period of about 4 months, to strategize his political future.

His statement comes hardly a month after the UDA party suffered a loss in his backyard.

Identified as one of the party’s mobilizers in the larger luhya region, Hon. Didmus failed to secure positions in Matungu and Kabuchai elective seats.

Kabuchai seat was won by Ford Kenya, led by its party leader Moses Wetangula, while Matungu gave their seat to ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi.
