Late MPs Wife Susan Waititu To Vie For Juja Seat

Susan Njeri Waititu, wife to the late Francis Waititu, has been nominated by Jubilee Party to vie for the Juja legislative seat. – By Gerald Gekara.

Susan beat her closest challenger Julius Kang’ethe to clinch the party primaries. Her nomination was upheld by residents who broke into song and dance over her victory.

Residents said it rejected outsiders who are not part and parcel to the constituency and will do the same to any other candidate that is not from Juja.

Susan Waititu will run against George Kaumburi of the People’s Empowerment Party, associated by Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria.

UDA announced it would not field a candidate for the position, as the party will work together with Jubilee to support the former MP’s wife.

Francis Waititu died after a long battle with brain cancer.
