Bruno Shioso Takes Over As New Commandant Of Kiganjo College

    Former police spokesperson Bruno Shioso took over as Commandant of the National Police Service (NPS) College in Kiganjo on Tuesday.

    Shioso succeeds Eng. Japheth Koome Nchebere, who was sworn in as Inspector General of Police (IGP).

    According to NPS, Shioso “brings in a wealth of experience having served in different capacities in Kenya and abroad.”

    During his tenure as the Spokesperson, he made innumerable achievements in the implementation of NPS Communication Strategy intended to advance the Mission and Vision of the Service.

    “He has also steered with great success multi-agency and multi-sectoral programmes including the multi-agency security operations and the campaigns on the security preparedness for the 2022 General Election,” NPS wrote on Twitter.

    Shioso also has a Masters of Science in Criminology (Police Leadership and Management) from Leicester University in the United Kingdom.

    “We wish Mr. Shioso all the best in his new capacity,” added NPS.

    Prior to his appointment as spokesperson, he worked at the United Nations as a Transnational Organized Crime Expert.
